Our Charges

Canonbury Management is committed to fair charging and the reduction of costs to our clients where technological improvements permit us to reduce operational costs. We charge either fixed prices or on an hourly rate rather than using percentages of the total value of works, which we believe encourages others in the industry to choose more expensive contractors for works.

Our Right to Manage prices have dropped by 50% on two separate occasions since 2006 and our block management prices have not increased since 2006. Our administration costs are amongst the lowest in the industry.

Canonbury is committed to the use of impartial, 3rd party contractors for all services but there are some instances where it is economic for us to bring services other than administration in-house. An example of this is litigation to recover unpaid service charges. We can perform this task far cheaper than any solicitors due to our automated processes and so we conduct this in-house. Canonbury will continue to perform functions in house where it believes there is a clear advantage to our customers.

All Canonbury prices include VAT.


Right to Manage


£50 per flat in the building which is going through the Right to Manage Process (subject to a minimum of £500).

The client is liable for the reasonable legal costs of the freeholder. We cannot be responsible for these charges, however, our guess is that between £500 and £2000, depending on the size of the block, would be reasonable.

£500 including VAT for the cost of an application to the LVT to determine the right to manage if a counter notice denying the right is received.

£1500 including VAT for the cost of an appeal to the Lands Tribunal in the event that the LVT hearing is lost.

£500 including VAT for a repeat of the Right to Manage process if the client has provided inaccurate information or the process has failed.


Block Management


Annual Service Charge £250 per flat including VAT

Hourly Rate for services not included in hourly rate £99.99 per hour including VAT. These charges apply for non-commissioned services only.

Company Secretarial services (annual return filing(£100), annual dormant accounts (£200) filing and registered office including opening mail from Companies House and HMRC only (£300)) £600 including VAT. Any other work charged at Hourly rates.

Sale Information Pack £350 including VAT for 24 hour return of information and handling of all information required by solicitors throughout sale process.

Notice of Transfer and Charge £150 including VAT

Duplicate postal statements £4.99 (first statements are free as are all email statements)

Letters to lessees £4.99 or free to clients who accept email correspondence.
